Trading Trends for Timlessness
Alexis Backus is a local photographer to the Metro-Detroit area who has been working with me as my preferred photographer for years. She approached me, ready for a rebrand when her existing logo and color palette just weren’t doing it for her anymore. She needed more than her name in a trendy font (which went out of style quickly after she invested in it). We worked together to discover what her goals were with a full brand suite and website design and we created something truly beautiful, personal, and memorable.

Brand Framework
Alexis is more than just your run of the mill photographer. Her goals include growing and expanding her photography business beyond just being a side hustle, with her new strategic brand framework she is going to be the event photographer for edgy, anti-brides in the Metro Detroit area (and then the world).
Through use of elegant typography and moody color palette, we were able to achieve a look and feel that will resonate with her ideal clients. And of course, I added lots of personal touches and easter eggs throughout her brand identity.
Color Inspiration
I always like to personalize brands for my clients and hide little easter eggs within. For Alexis, her color palette was not only inspired by her editing style but it was also inspired by some of the tones in her tattoos. As for the names, I chose names of her pets and her recent travel to personalize things even further.
